Girls in a Creek

I only have a few more photos of our weekend at Family Camp to share. I think these are my favorites, though.

It's just a bunch of girls playing in a creek, but what I love their timelessness.

The relationship between bigger girls and little girls is transcendent.

Sure the world will always change, but this dynamic won't. There will always be some bigger girls who take younger girls under their own skinny wing.

Like a sister. Or a little mother.

It gives them both the chance to be better than they are. A friendship unlike any of a sibling or a peer, but one built on adoration going both ways.

And that's what I love about these photos. Take away the dress and these girls could live anywhere at anytime. The relationships are that universal.

And, yes, even boys will always be boys.

It's the magic of childhood, isn't it?
