In case it's hard to read, it says,
"Dear Santa,
I hope you like flying in the sleigh. Look down and see if you can see my house. It's a big house with lots of windows. I want a remote control helicopter, a dirt bike with training wheels, and a Power Ranger suit. I'll be at Grandma's house. We'll leave cookies for you! Love, Eli McCall"
I'm a little worried about Eli's letter. A month ago, when I was doing all my Christmas shopping, the list was entirely different. I'm not even sure where you find a Power Ranger suit (white, mind you) and I don't think they make dirt bikes with training wheels. *Sigh* Growing up is so disappointing.
While he was working on this letter, he came up with a plan for Santa to write him back. He wants to leave Santa a piece of paper and a pencil on Christmas Eve so Santa can come through. I tried to explain that you mail your letter to Santa and it's not like texting where you get an immediate answer back, but I don't think he got it. Maybe next year...when he actually knows his letters.
I won't hold my breath.

That is precious! Love that sweet boy! :)
Hope you guys have a great Christmas in New Mexico!
My oldest son (now 6 1/2) asked for eggs one Christmas. Everytime someone asked him, he would reply he wanted "eggs." He was asking for Easter eggs because of the candy. We filled a few eggs and "Santa" left a note for him that this was the Easter bunny's job, but that this one time, they had decided it would be okay. He was fine with that and never asked for them again.
It may be that "Santa" leaves him a note explaining Eli's list revision. Just a thought.
Kids are fun, but it's stressful to keep it all a secret!
Blessings.
That's too cute! Santa used to write us a thank you note (usually REALLY short) for the cookies & coke/milk.
What a great letter!
By the way, thanks for tip about finding jump ropes at Cracker barrell. Apparently the jump rope I purchased looks to girly to my husband. We will be visiting the local C.B. tomorrow in search of a more manly jump rope.
That is so cute! Santa used to leave a note in exchange for the cookies that we left him. The note would be placed right by the plate w/ cookie crumbs. I LOVED reading it every year!!
