To Document the Halloween Festivities...

I don't scrapbook.

I'm pretty sure that puts me in danger of having my mom-card revoked, but I just don't like it. Don't get me wrong, I *love* to look through other people's scrapbooks while marveling at their dedication and creativity, but I just can't get into it. I've tried and Eli has a lovely book of his first year of life, but I would much rather spend my time sewing or quilting or cooking or reading or blogging. Different strokes and all that. For the most part, this blog is my family scrapbook. It's where I record the things I want to remember and post all the billions of pictures I've taken. I know I can have it turned into a book, but I haven't yet. Maybe later.

In keeping with the "documenting our lives" part of this blog, I figured I better post a few pictures of all the events surrounding the Halloween of 2010.

Last Wednesday we had the "Funavil" at our church. You might know it as a "Fall Festival", but we have a way goofier name for it. :) I mostly got pictures of my children with some of their buddies.

Phoebe and Dacie.

Phoebe and Amy Kate. Isn't her hair to die for?!

This is Erin. She's living in our guest house right now and Phoebe just adores her. (The rest of us do, too, but not as effusively.) She painted the crown on Phoebe's forehead.

Eli, Dayton, and Corbin. I *heart* these boys soooo much!

Sometimes it seems by the time we actually get to Halloween day, I'm "Halloweened" out with all the parties and festivals, but trick-or-treating with our small group gives me something fun to look forward to! We did it last year, but I don't think I ever blogged about it. Here's last year's pic since I apparently forgot.

My how we've grown! Or whatever.

I think the "crazy" pic is my favorite.

I'm off to hide my mom-card in case anyone comes looking to take it away! :) Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

If you get your mom-card revoked for not scrapbooking, then I definatly will get mine taken away and burned for not quilting! Quilts are a way better way (in my opinion) to wrap and warm yourself in the love from the one who made it! Someday in all of my spare time I will learn to quilt. Until then a scrapbooking I will do. Love ya!

I hate scrapbooking, too. I did one for my sister and vowed never to do one again. I put photos in albums and on blogs, that's good enough for me! Looks like Halloween was fun!
